Key responsibilities: •Strengthen existing customer relationships and develop new business relationships within the Chinese research community. •Work to support sales and distributors with technical and application expertise thus expanding the reach and business potential of Andor •Develop both the imaging and spectroscopy business within China, in close collaboration with the local sales engineer and distributors develop and grow an Andor based research community •Leveraging your business development experience to penetrate new academic and industrial accounts and locate opportunities for research sales. •Work with Segment Head to develop and execute a focused physical science competitive account strategy to create new opportunities for Andor products replacing entrenched competitors. •Work with Segment Head to develop business development strategies, which should include: on-line and in account technology, product and applications focused presentations with appropriate collateral tied to outreach campaigns •Cooperate with Sales and Segment Head on suitable outreach, presentations, collaterals, presentations, and webinars •Be the expert in this field and promote the Andor portfolio, through proactive customer visits presentations, seminars and attendance at suitable conferences. •Internally participate in activities to assist in defining and implementing segment focused sales and marketing strategies for each solution and service in the product portfolio. •Evaluate product and service offering in terms of customers’ technical needs, ensuring customer need is understood, and addressed. •Maintain reports to include market segment forecasts, potential sales, customer feedback and activity plan. •Provide product and application training to both sales staff, channel partners and end-users customers. •Establish and maintain strong industry contacts within the research community that support both industry knowledge and drives sales. •Work with regional staff, HQ and other internal stakeholders to establish a communication path with the customer. •Attend and support regular sales meetings, distributor meetings and similar •Offer feedback and suggestions to improve product solutions. •Travel as required to meet and develop sales targets •Own and manage relationships with key opinion leaders •Any other duties as may be reasonably required from time to time by your Line Manager.
Qualifications: •Relevant physics science or relevant fields master’s degree essential, PHD and additional business qualification desirable. •Well known about typical application about physics science, Quantum Optics and Astronomy •Language skills: English (spoken and written). •PC knowledge, both hardware & software. •Ability to travel at short notice.
